It's been a while since I last published one of my 'Currently Loving' posts. So here comes only the third in a row and this time a more lighter, summery one, comprising only three categories. Though, one of them has three subcategories. And, oh, this selection is so good!

These are probably the most well known quotes from The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The Great Gatsby enchanted me as well and my summer 2017 will be forever connected with immerse desire, limitless pomp of parties and aching deep disappointment spilling from this modern classic novel. It is a perfect summer reading and you should definitely include it into your TBR next summer.
To tell the truth, I downloaded The Great Gatsby soundtrack a couple of years ago, upon hearing it in my cousin's car while he was driving me somewhere, and I fell in love with it even without watching the film or reading the book beforehand. And now, after finishing the book I fell urge to finally watch the film as well. And although I liked it - it touched up my imaginations perfectly - the book was better ;)

V slovenskej, divadelnej verzii si hlavnú úlohu namiesto Leonarda DiCapria zahrá Marek Majeský.

Have you already heard about Bullet Journal? I've discovered this great method of planning and organising only this summer and I am head over heals in love with it.
The whole idea of Bullet Journaling is based on a simple dotted notebook that allows you not only to organise your tasks but eventually to plan your life months before. Due to the dotted grid it is more or less up to you and your personal requirements how you set it up. Though, there are a couple of rules and good practices how to do it. The main idea is to keep it simple and effective, so that you spend less time setting it up and more time fulfilling your cleverly organised tasks.

Since I was not entirely sure if this is going to work for me as well, I decided to purchase only a cheap several pages long dotted notebook. I started at the beginning of August and now when I have almost a month of bullet journaling behind me, I can confirm that it definitely did work for me too.
The very list of tasks I set myself each day makes me want to fulfill them so that I can cross them out. It also keeps my long-term plans on my mind and do something to reach them each day. Although, honestly, procrastination managed to creep in sometimes, though, not as many times as it did before.
As you can see my Bullet Journal is a mixture of French, English and Slovak. The main reason behind French is that I would like to improve my language skills and I hope that using it daily and repetitively will get at least some of the common words into my blood. So I managed to find a French Bullet Journal guide somewhere and set it up more or less in French.
I use Staedtler Pigment Liner 0.3 to fill it in and Stabilo Boss pastel highlighters to bring things to my attention or to separate titles from the actual list.
After a month of using I also introduced some customized features. One of these are different colours assigned to different kinds of tasks, as you can see from the key on the bottom of my September Monthly Log page. This could be useful for someone who has more than one job or works on several projects at once. I don't usually take the highlighters with me (I used to but I was fed up after few days), I usually do the highlighting part each evening at home when I am setting up my tasks for the next day(s).
This summer I've also discovered a fantastic new YouTube channel for designers introduced by a young designer Charli Prangley. Charli comes from New Zealand but lives in London and works remotely as a web content designer but not only.
On her YouTube channel called CharliMarieTV she publishes quality design-related videos and vlogs every Tuesday and Saturday. Although her hardware and software tools are completely different from mine (she uses Apple hardware, iOS software and related tools; I rely on Asus and Windows and other mostly open source tools) her advice and practices can serve as an inspiration for me to search for similar solutions within my own tools.
Apart from her main job, other designing projects that come her way and her YouTube channel she has also her own apparel brand called Liner Note Kids inspired by music, selling hand-printed T-shirts and other stuff.

Hoci mám vo zvyku čítať vždy zároveň jednu anglickú a jednu slovenskú knihu, momentálne čítam súčasne dve anglické knihy. Obe som si našla pod vianočným stromčekom.
Jednou z nich je kniha The Snow Queen and Other Winter Tales, z nádhernej edície vydavateľstva Barnes&Noble, viazaná v koži. Je to zbierka, ktorá obsahuje príbehy od takých literárnych majstrov ako Hans Christian Andersen, bratia Grimmovci, Charles Dickens, Louisa May Alcott, Oscar Wilde, Andrew Lang, či Alexandre Dumas. Kniha je ideálnym čítaním na dlhé zimné večery pod teplou dekou a s hrnčekom horúceho nápoja. Keďže je už po vianočných sviatkoch, z knihy si na čítanie vyberám hlavne zimné príbehy a tie s vianočnou tématikou si nechávam až na záver tohto roka :)
Ďalšou vynikajúcou knihou, ideálnou na dlhé, zimné večery, ktorú ale netreba bližšie predstavovať, je Harry Potter. Práve čítam tretiu zo série siedmych kníh. Harryho Pottera čítam po prvýkrát a veľmi si túto skutočnosť, tak závidenú fanúšikmi Harryho Pottera, užívam. Knihy sú fantastické a na mňa ešte stále čakajú štyri ďalšie :)
English Though I use to usually read one English and one Slovak book at the same time, currently I am reading two English books. I found them both under my Christmas tree. One of them is The Snow Queen and Other Winter Tales, from the wonderful leather-bound series of Barnes&Noble publishing. It's a collection of stories by such masters like Hans Christian Andersen, the Grimm brothers, Charles Dickens, Louisa May Alcott, Oscar Wilde, Andrew Lang, or Alexandre Dumas. The book is ideal reading for long winter evenings, under warm blanket and with cup of hot beverage. Since it's already after Christmas, I pick rather winter stories and I leave the Christmas ones for the end of this year :) Another outstanding book, destined for long winter evenings, which I don't need to introduce, is Harry Potter. Currently reading the third book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I am reading Harry Potter for the first time and I am enjoying this fact, so envied by Harry Potter fans, very much. The books are terrific and there are still four books waiting for me :)
Decentný a vyrovnaný prejav, príjemný hlas z rádia, a od zimy 2015 aj nová tvár na televíznej obrazovke, to je mladý moderátor a redaktor, Michal Katuška. A už len tak mimochodom aj môj kamarát a spolužiak z politológie, čo je v podstate veľmi dôležité, keďže jeho politologické vzdelanie a živý záujem o veci verné, ho predurčuje pasovať sa s veľkými témami. Keďže sme s Michalom bývalí spolužiaci, tak som mala skvelú možnosť zažiť ho nielen počas jeho vysokoškolského štúdia, ale z času na čas aj teraz, najmä pri spoločných stretnutiach so spolužiakmi. Michal je aj bez predchádzajúcej prípravy skvelým rozprávačom, ktorého vždy rada počúvam s veľkým záujmom.
Jeho rozhlasová kariéra začala krátko po skončení magisterského štúdia, keď v decembri 2010 nastúpil do Slovenského rozhlasu na pozíciu redaktora regionálneho spravodajstva. Počas tohto obdobia na sebe neustále tvrdo pracoval, zaujímal sa o dianie na Slovensku i vo svete, každý večer po práci si trénoval prejav, čítal nahlas príspevky svoje aj kolegov, nahrával sa, a potom počúval, kde urobil chybu. Tak sa necelý rok po prijatí do Slovenského rozhlasu dostal aj za živý mikrofón do štúdia - začal moderovať krátke správy na Rádiu Regina, neskôr aj celý žurnál a tiež hodinovú diskusnú reláciu Klub komunálnej politiky. V roku 2013 ho Braňo Dobšinský, vtedajší šéf spravodajstva v rozhlase vzal do domácej redakcie. Začal sa venovať veľkým témam, ktoré sú mu aj vďaka politologickému vzdelaniu blízke. Rok 2013 teda začínal ako redaktor domáceho spravodajstva a končil ho už aj ako moderátor aktuálnej publicistickej relácie K veci, moderátor Rádiožurnálu Rádia Slovensko a moderátor relácie Z prvej ruky. Bolo to obdobie, kedy v práci trávil dvojciferné počty hodín a domov sa často chodil len na pár hodín vyspať. Dnes sa sústreďuje predovšetkým na svoju prácu redaktora, moderátora K veci a od zimy moderuje aj ranné a poludnajsie správy RTVS v televízii.
A čo Michala Katušku na práci redaktora a moderátora baví a priťahuje najviac? To Vám prezradí samotný Michal Katuška: "Práca ma nesmierne baví, je veľkou cťou a zároveň veľkou vnútornou motiváciou prinášať ľuďom vecné spravodajstvo o dianí v tejto krajine. Dávať politikom otázky, na ktoré musia, no nie vždy chcú odpovedať. Každý pracovný deň vyzerá inak. Jeden deň som s mikrofónom u bezdomovcov, ďalší na Úrade vlády. Kým je v človeku zvedavosť, tak to má zmysel robiť."

English For English speaking readers of this blog, this part is about Michal Katuška - young newscaster and reporter of the Radio and Television Slovakia (RTVS), of decent and composed appearance, pleasant voice from the radio and since winter 2015 also a new face of a TV screen. And by the way also my friend and fellow student from Political Science, which is quite important since his Masters Degree in Political Science and avid interest in public affairs predestines him to tackle great topics. Since we are former classmates I had a great opportunity to experience Michal not only during his university studies, but from time to time also now especially during our gatherings of classmates. Michal has a pleasant voice, and even without previous preparation is a great storyteller, whom I always like to listen with great interest. Shortly after completing his degree in 2010, he started to work as a regional news editor in Slovak Radio. During this time he worked hard, was interested in local and international events, every evening after work started another shift for him since he was practising speech, reading aloud his own contributions and those of his colleagues, recording himself and then listening his own speech checking for mistakes he made. After nearly a year, he was allowed to present live - read short news on one of the regional radio stations, later the whole main news and an hour-long discussion programme about communal politics in Slovakia. In 2013 he moved to the national news section and started to deal with big topics that have always been, also thanks to his university degree, very close to him. He started the year 2013 as a reporter of national news and ended it as a presenter of a programme about current affairs, presenter of the main news and presenter of a discussion programme on the political, civil and social topics of the day. During this time he used to spend double-digit hours at work and went home only to sleep for few hours. Nowadays he concentrates mainly on his job of reporter and presenter and from winter 2015 also on his job as an anchorman of the RTVS Morning News and RTVS News at noon in the TV. And what likes Michal and attracts him about the work of editor and presenter the most? This will tell you Michal himself: "I immensely enjoy the work, which is a great honor as well as great personal motivation to bring objective news about what is happening in this country. To ask politicians questions that they have to, but do not always want to answer. Every working day is different. One day I am with a microphone with the homeless, next day in the Government Office. As long as you are curious, it is still worth to do."
V pondelok 11. januára som dostala nádherné prekvapenie, ktoré pre mňa pripravila moja najlepšia kamarátka s rodinkou. Keďže je momentálne na materskej a plne sa venuje svojmu trojmesačnému synčekovi, nemá veľa času na nakupovanie darčekov, čo však ale neznamená, že sa nevie vynájsť a vynájsť sa tým úplne najúžasnejším spôsobom. Vynašla sa aj na Vianoce, keď mi darovala rukou napísaný poukaz na nákup kozmetiky od jednej našej spoločnej známej, ktorá žije v Taliansku. No a na moje meniny si pre mňa pripravila prekvapenie v podobe výnimočného dezertu, zloženého z čerstvých jahôd poliatých pravou belgickou čokoládou a posypaných rôznymi príchuťami. Dezert v peknej krabičke previazanej saténovou mašľou mi priniesol milý pán kuriér priamo od výrobcu a podal mi tak balíček, ako aj všetky dôležité informácie o čerstvom darčeku a jeho spotrebe, a napokon mi aj sám zaželal všetko najlepšie k meninám. Keďže som už bola veľmi zvedavá, priloženú malú, zlatú obálku som otvorila ešte vo výťahu a pod tromi písmenami som rozlúštila iniciály mien troch členov mladej rodinky :) Mala som slzy na krajíčku, keďže tak nádherný a do najmenších detailov premyslený darček som na meniny ešte nedostala. English On Monday 11th January I received a wonderful surprise, prepared for me by my best friend with her family. Since she is on maternity leave now and fully devoted to her three-month son, she doesn't have much time to buy presents, though this doesn't mean that she couldn't cope with it and cope with it in the best possible way. For Christmas she managed to give me a handwritten voucher for purchase of cosmetics from one of our common friends, who lives in Italy. And for my name-day she prepared for me surprise in form of a special dessert, consisting of fresh strawberries poured in original Belgian chocolate and scattered with different flavours. The dessert in a beautiful box tied up with satin bow was brought to me by a very kind courier directly from the manufacturer, who gave me not only the packet, but also all important information on the fresh gift and it's usage and eventually he wished me happy name-day himself. Since I was too curious, I've opened the enclosed golden envelope during my way back in a lift and in under three letters I deciphered the initials of the three members of the young family :) I was close to tears, since I've never been given such a wonderful and thoroughly elaborated gift for my name-day. Jedným z cieľov, ktoré som si stanovila pre rok 2016, je aj cieľ zlepšiť si svoju francúzštinu. Už dávnejšie som však na Instagrame začala sledovať @frenchwords, ktorého zakladateľom je chlapík menom Julien Azarian, žijúci v Paríži. A čo je na Instagrame @frenchwords také zaujímavé? Julien prostredníctvom @frenchwords publikuje každý deň jedno francúzske slovo, slovné spojenie alebo frazeologizmus, v jednotnom dizajne, kde francúzsky výraz hrá ústrednú úlohu, prípadne je doplnený jednoduchou kresbou, ktorá ešte viac pomáha zapamätať si dané slovo. @frenchwords sú mimoriadne obľúbené nielen na Instagrame, ale aj na Pintereste, kde Instagramove príspevky @frenchwords pripínajú a zdieľajú tisíce milovníkov francúzskeho jazyka. Ak máte aj vy v obľube tento nádherný jazyk a chcete sa v ňom trocha zlepšiť, a o @frenchwords ste doteraz ešte nepočuli, vrelo odporúčam, aby ste ho na Instagrame začali sledovať. English One of the goals I set myself for 2016 is to improve my French. It's been some time since I started to follow @frenchwords on Instagram, the founder of which is a guy called Julien Azarian from Paris. And what's so interesting about the Instagram @frenchwords? By means of @frenchwords Julien publishes daily a French word or phrase, in an unified style, where a French expression plays a centre role, supplemented sometimes by a simple drawing, helping to remember the particular word even better. @frenchwords are extremely popular not only on Instagram but on Pinterest as well, where Instagram posts of @frenchwords are being shared by thousands of lovers of French language. If you also like this wonderful language and you'd like to improve and you haven't heard about @frenchwords yet, I highly recommend you to start to follow it on Instagram. Posledné dva týždne boli pre mňa mimoriadne náročné a počas oboch som už nedočkavo čakala na víkend, aby som si mohla konečne aspoň trocha oddýchnuť. A keď som sa konečne dopracovala k piatkovému večeru, v mysli mi začala hrať pieseň od Coldplay - Hymn for the Weekend, ktorú som prvýkrát počula keď som po sviatkoch cestovala v aute s bratrancom. Na cesty autom s bratrancom sa vždy veľmi teším, nielen preto, že sa v pohodlí a rýchlo odveziem z jedného konca republiky na druhý, ale tiež preto, že je veľmi príjemným spoločníkom a vždy má pripravený nejaký skvelý playlist :)
Pieseň Hymn for the Weekend pochádza z najnovšieho albumu Coldplay, ktorý vyšiel 4. decembra 2015, pod názvom Head Full of Dreams, a vznikla v spolupráci s Beyoncé. Je to optimistická, energická skladba pre všetkých, ktorí milujú víkendy tak ako ja :)
English Last two weeks were exceptionally tough for me and I've been impatiently waiting for the weekend to come so I can relax at least a bit. And when I finally managed to reach the Friday evening, my mind started to play the song Hymn for the Weekend by Coldplay, I heard for the first time when after holidays I drove in a car with my cousin. I always look forward to drives with my cousin and not only because I can comfortably commute from one side of the Slovak Republic to the other but also because he is very pleasant companion and has always some excellent playlist at his disposal :) Song Hymn for the Weekend originates from the new Coldplay album released on 4th December 2015 called Head Full of Dreams, and it is a duet of Chris Martin with Beyoncé. It's a cheerful and energetic song for everyone who loves weekends just like me :)

Mne sa však nedávno dostala do uší aj ich nádherná skladba Even Though z ich albumu Blood Like Lemonade (2010) a hneď sa dostala na môj zoznam v súčasnosti najobľúbenejších skladieb.
English Perhaps the most famous song by the British music band Morcheeba, which currently consists of singer Skye Edwards and musicians and brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey, is the song Rome Wasn't Build in a Day. Though I've been recently captured by their other wonderful song Even Though from the album Blood Like Lemonade (2010) and it went straight to the playlist of my currently most favourite songs.
Zvyčajne čítam vždy jednu slovenskú a jednu anglickú knihu, no tento mesiac sa medzi knihami, ktoré práve čítam ocitla jedna anglická, jedna francúzska a v podstate aj jedna slovenská kniha.
Tou anglickou je kniha Deathless (Nesmrteľný) od americkej spisovateľky Catherynne M. Valente. Knihu som sa rozhodla prečítať najmä na základe odporúčaní blogerov a jej hodnotení na Goodreads. Príbeh je založený na ruskej ľudovej povesti o Márii Morevne a Cárovi Života, ktorý ju privádza z Petrohradu do svojho kráľovstva. Ide o úžasnú kombináciu reality (Rusko v prvej polovici 20. storočia) s množstvom rozprávkových postáv, prvkov a javov. Stále však ide skôr o román pre dospelých.
/ I usually read one Slovak and one English book at the same time, although this month, among the books I'm currently reading, there happened to be one English, one French and basically also one Slovak book. The English one is Deathless by Catherynne M. Valente. I've decided to read this book on basis of recommendations by other bloggers and Goodreads ratings. The story is based on Russian folktale about Marya Morevna and the Tsar of Life, who takes her from Petersburg to his kingdom. It's an amazing combination of reality (Russia in the first half of the 20 century) with number of storybook characters, elements and features. Though it's still more of a book for adults than for children.
Francúzskou, a zároveň slovenskou knihou, ktorú práve čítam (dočítala som ju krátko pred dokončením tohto príspevku), je Malý princ z pera Antoina de Saint-Exupéryho. Známy príbeh o podstate lásky a priateľstva, som sa rozhodla čítať v pôvodnom, francúzskom znení najmä s cieľom osviežiť si svoju francúzštinu. Pri čítaní som si radšej než francúzskym slovníkom, pomáhala slovenským prekladom. Okrem opätovného čítania jedného z najkrajších diel svetovej literatúry, to bol takýmto spôsobom zároveň aj zaujímavý lingvistický zážitok :)
/ The French and the Slovak book I am currently reading (I've already finished it shortly before completing this post) is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I decided to read this well-known story about the essence of love and friendship in the French original, since I wanted to refresh my French. While reading I rather used the Slovak translation then French dictionary. So besides reading one of the most beautiful books ever written once again, it's been an interesting linguistic experience too.

Tou druhou vecou, ktorá mi na mojom stole robí radosť (a občas aj starosť, keďže s akvarelom viac-menej ešte stále iba začínam a skúšam jeho i svoje možnosti), je môj vlastný projekt akvarelových obrázkov s motívmi Paríža. Zatiaľ trocha tajomný, ale nechajte sa prekvapiť ;) Skôr či neskôr vám ho celý odhalím aj na tomto blogu ;)

Knižný blog Paperback Castles, dánskej blogerky Rikke Mollerovej, je
mojim úplným favoritom medzi blogmi už dobrý rok. A to aj napriek tomu,
že blog je celý v dánčine a ja nerozumiem ani slovo. Subtilné obrázky prekrásnych kníh ma zaujali až natoľko, že som si text začala prekladať prostredníctvom Google prekladača. A skutočne to stojí za tú námahu. Rikke je absolventkou magisterského štúdia komparatívnej literatúry. The book blog Paperback Castles by Danish blogger Rikke Moller has been my all time blog favourite already for a year. And this is even though the blog is written in Danish and I don't understand a word. I was so impressed by the delicate pictures of wonderful books that I started to translate the text using Google Translator. And it is really worth the effort. Rikke holds a Master's Degree in Comparative Literature. Currently she works as Community Manager at the Marketing Department of the largest Danish publisher Lindhardt and Ringhof. Besides being a book collector (in her personal library you can find several beautiful editions of novels by Jane Austen, Louisa May Alcott, stories of Alice in Wonderland and many many other books beautiful on the inside and on the outside too) she is an experienced reviewer, influencing to the great extent also my own selection of books. Probably you wouldn't believe it but this fresh and playful young Brasilian called Melina Souza, author of the blog Serendipity, is (according to some of her blog posts and information in the FAQ section of her blog) really 28 years old. Though I don't speak a word in Portuguese, I started to like her blog the very moment I caught a glimpse of it, given the language barrier, more due to it's visual content than the written one. Cheerful and vivid photographs cheer me up each time I consult her blog and sometimes I even translate the text. On Mel's blog you can find posts mostly about books, travelling, fashion, beauty and lifestyle but you can find there many other themed posts as well. Na autorke nemeckého módneho a cestovateľského blogu Bekleidet, Jane Wind sa mi najviac páči jej osobitý štýl. Sama však tvrdí, že by bola škoda, ak by sa obmedzila len na jeden štýl a svoje oblečenie rada mení podľa nálady. A práve to máme spoločné. Jana je krásna, vysoká, štíhla mladá žena s vynikajúcim vkusom, ktorá vyzerá úžasne vo všetkom čo si oblečie a nech si zvolí akýkoľvek štýl. What I like about Jana Wind, the author of the German fashion and travel blog Bekleidet the most, is her peculiar style. She states, however, that it would be a pity to confine herself to only one style and she likes to change her clothes with her mood. And this is exactly what we have in common. Jana is beautiful, tall, slender young woman with great taste, looking amazing in everything she decides to wear no matter what style she decides to pick. Twenty One Pilots - Holding On To You
O americkej kapele Twenty One Pilots som sa dozvedela prostredníctvom bratranca, konkrétne, počas cesty autom z Bratislavy domov, do Michaloviec, keď nám piesne tejto kapely spríjemnili aspoň časť cesty naprieč republikou. A kapela ma hneď oslovila svojim vynikajúcim zvukom. Ako som sa ešte od bratranca vtedy dozvedela, kapela Twenty One Pilots nemá 21 členov :D V podstate ju tvoria iba dvaja členovia: spevák, textár a hudobník Tyler Joseph a bubeník Josh Dun. Hudobný štýl kapely je alternatívny hip hop, rap a electropop.
Na ochutnávku ponúkam nižšie ich pieseň Holding On To You. Výborné sú však aj ich ďalšie piesne. Medzi moje najobľúbenejšie patria najmä: Fairly Local, Addict with a Pen, či Clear. Špecialitkou je ich remix piesne Time to Say Goodbye, v pôvodnom podaní Andreu Bocelliho a Sarah Brightman. Do mojej zbierky rôznych verzií piesne Time to Say Goodbye (Con Te Partiro od Andreu Bocelliho, spoločného duetu so Sarah Brightman a jej sólovej verzie) tak pribudla aj rapová verzia od Twenty One Pilots :) Palec hore!
/ I learned about the American group Twenty One Pilots from my cousin while driving home from our capital Bratislava, when we enjoyed their songs for at least some part of our five hours journey to the other end of the Slovak Republic. And the band captured my attention by it's great sound. As I came to know then from my cousin too, Twenty One Pilots doesn't have 21 members :D It actually consists only of two: vocalist, songwriter and musician Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun. Their genre is alternative hip hop, rap and electropop. To taste a bit of their music you can find their song Holding On To You below. Excellent are also their other songs. To my favourite also belong: Fairly Local, Addict with a Pen or Clear. Very special is their remix of the song Time to Say Goodbye originally by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. Now my collection of different versions of the song Time to Say Goodbye (Con Te Partiro by Andrea Bocelli, his duet with Sarah Brightman and her solo version) got supplemented by rap version by Twenty One Pilots :) Thumbs up!

Prv než som si pozrela videoklip k piesni Directions od Ane Brun a než som si o nej niečo zistila, za jej hlasom som si predstavovala útlu, mladú, začínajúcu, no veľmi talentovanú speváčku. Pôvodom Nórka, skladateľka, gitaristka a speváčka Ane Brun, má však už čo-to za sebou. Jej hudobným štýlom je folk, pop a art pop. Pieseň Directions spája špecifický hlas Ane Brun so sugestívnou hudbou do úžasného hudobného zážitku.

A ak ste jej skutočnými milovníkmi, tak vám skupinu Purity Ring, ktorá bola pre mňa samú donedávna úplne neznáma, nemusím vôbec predstavovať. Pre všetkých ostatných, aspoň základné info. Kanadské duo Purity Ring tvorí speváčka Megan James a hudobník Corin Roddick. V roku 2015 vydali svoj v poradí druhý album Another Eternity, z ktorého ma oslovili hneď štyri piesne. Ako prvú, som v rádiu počula skladbu Heartsigh a až potom som objavila pieseň Begin Again, ktorú vám aj ponúkam do pozornosti nižšie. Mojimi ďalšími obľúbenými piesňami z ich najnovšieho albumu sú: Repetition a Flood on the Floor.

And here comes something for those of you who like the electronic music. If you are true electro-enthusiasts then there is probably no need to introduce the group Purity Ring, which I was myself not even aware of until recently, to you at all. To all the rest of you here comes at leas some basic info. The Canadian duo Purity Ring consists of lead vocalist Megan James and instrumentalist Corin Roddick. In 2015 they released their second album Another Eternity, from which straight four songs caught my attention. First, I've heard on the radio the song Heartsigh and even then I've discovered the song Begin Again, which you can enjoy below. My other favourite songs from their latest album are: Repetition and Flood on the Floor.
Keď som jedno ráno v práci otvorila webový prehliadač a na domovskej stránke môjho zamestnávateľa som zazrela fotografiu fantastického kníhkupectva, plného kníh a názov Amazon Books uprostred, zostala som ohúrená.
Pôsobivý výber kníh, ktoré Amazon, ako najväčšie internetové kníhkupectvo na svete ponúka na svojich stránkach, je jedna vec. Nikdy pre mňa nebolo jednoduchšie a lacnejšie zohnať zahraničnú literatúru, ktorú by som chcela čítať a mať vo svojej knižnici. Druhá vec však je držať vytúženú knihu, ktorú som doposiaľ videla iba na obrázku, reálne v rukách, môcť sa dotknúť jej obalu, prezrieť si ju alebo si dokonca aj privoňať ;) bez toho, aby som si ju najprv musela kúpiť cez internet. A presne takúto úžasnú možnosť majú teraz milovníci kníh v univerzitnej dedine amerického mesta Seattle, ktoré je sídlom centrály spoločnosti Amazon. Kníhkupectvo ponúka len to najlepšie, čo sa momentálne nachádza na knižnom trhu. Knihy do jeho ponuky sú totiž vyberané na základe hodnotení zákazníkov na internetových stránkach Amazonu, predobjednávok, predajnosti, obľúbenosti na najväčšej knižnej sociálnej sieti Goodreads a posudku samotných kurátorov ponuky. Ako môžete vidieť aj na obrázku nižšie, knihy sú v policiach uložené tak, že zákazníkovi neponúkajú pohľad len na chrbát, ale priamo na prednú stranu knihy. Každý titul navyše dopĺňa aj tabuľka s vybranou recenziou zákazníka zo stránky Amazon.com. A čo je ešte fantastickejšie, ceny v kamennom kníhkupectve sú identické s cenami na internete!
Okrem kníh nájdu zákazníci v kníhkupectve aj vlastné produkty spoločnosti Amazon: Kindle, Echo, Fire TV a Fire Tablet, ktoré si môžu priamo vyskúšať a prípadné otázky im zodpovedajú odborníci na Amazon zariadenia. Amazon Books sa okamžite zaradilo na zoznam svetových kníhkupectiev, ktoré by som raz určite chcela navštíviť. Keďže sa však Seattle nachádza od Slovenska pomerne ďaleko, myslím, že by bolo fantastické, ak by sa rovnaké Amazon kamenné kníhkupectvo otvorilo aj v niektorej z európskych metropol. Aké má plány Jeff Bezos, netuším a nejde ani o náznak žiadnej internej informácie, ale o jednu z vecí, po ktorej práve túžim ja, a so mnou pravdepodobne aj stovky ďalších knihomoľov.

One morning, when I came to work, opened the internet browser, the internal homepage of my employer displayed on my screen and I saw a picture of a fantastic bookshop full of books with title Amazon Books in the middle, I was stunned.
Impressive selection of books offered by Amazon, as the world's biggest internet bookshop, on its websites, is one thing. It has never been easier and cheaper for me to get a foreign literature I'd like to read and keep in my library. Other thing, however, is to hold a desired book, I've only seen on a picture so far, in ones own hands, being able to touch its cover, flip through it or even smell it ;) without being required to purchase it on the internet first. And this is exactly the possibility that's been given by Amazon to the booklovers in Seattle’s University Village. You can read more about the Amazon Books bookshop here.
Amazon Books got straight to my list of world bookshops I'd like to visit once for sure. However, since Seattle is pretty far from Slovakia, I think that it would be fantastic if one such Amazon physical bookshop could be opened in one of the European capitals too. I don't know the plans of Jeff Bezos and there's not even a hint of an internal information. It is however one of the things I'm currently craving, and with me probably hundreds of other bibliophiles.
